Top Five Imported Medical Devices Registered in China

Recently, NMPA released the Annual Medical Device Registration Report 2021.

According to the report, in 2021, products from 27 countries were approved to be marketed in China, and the top five countries in terms of number of initial registration of imported medical devices were the United States, Germany, Japan, The Republic of Korea and Switzerland. The top five imported medical devices were medical imaging, passive implantation, stomatology, neurological and cardiovascular surgery, ophthalmology and other devices. Among them, the number of medical imaging devices increased from 63 last year to 70, an increase of about 11.1%; the number of passive implant devices increased from 41 to 48, an increase of about 17.1%.
