The State Administration of Taxation provides tax refunds for domestic medical devices!

In recent years, the market share of medical devices in China is increasing, including medical imaging, in vitro diagnosis and other fields, Chinese government has continuously increased the support to the development of domestic medical devices, especially for innovative products.

On June 22 this year, the State Administration of Taxation issued the “Administrative Measures for the VAT Refund for R&D Institutions Purchasing Domestic Equipment”, which clarifies the items like filing of tax rebate ，time limit for tax refund，specific scope,declaration steps，and other matters.

The implementation time of the “Measures” is from January 1, 2021.This is undoubtedly a huge support to manufacturers of domestic equipment in the fields of medical imaging and in vitro diagnosis.
