On November 22, the Medical Healthcare Security Administration of Jiangxi Province issued the Implementation Opinions of Jiangxi Province on Promoting the Normalization and Institutionalization of Centralized Procurement of Drugs and Medical Consumables in Quantity (Draft for Comments) (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions).
It is pointed out in the Opinions that Jiangxi Province will promote the direct settlement of the purchase price of selected drugs and medical consumables between the medical healthcare security fund and pharmaceutical enterprises, establish a platform online settlement system, implement online settlement, improve the settlement efficiency, and officially start the direct settlement between the medical insurance fund and enterprises.
It is worth noting that the procurement management subsystem of Jiangxi drugs and medical consumables has been deployed and fully applied. Within two months after Jiangxi Procurement subsystem goes online, direct medical insurance settlement has begun to be implemented!

In May this year, it was officially announced that the national unified healthcare serity information platform, including a sub-platform for drug equipment bidding and procurement, had been fully completed.
According to statistics, at present, 21 provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government, autonomous regions and the production and construction Corps have issued specific arrangements for the national bidding and procurement subsystem to go online, and a total of 9 provinces and cities have started the direct settlement of medical insurance funds with enterprises.
At present, in addition to Jiangxi Province, Hainan Province, Shandong Province, Shaanxi Province, Fujian Province and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have launched the national unified bidding and procurement subsystem online and have also started the direct settlement of medical insurance funds with enterprises. From the current trend, other provinces will also begin to switch and transfer the bidding and purchase of drugs and medical consumables from the provincial platform to the national platform. The era of national integration of bidding and procurement and linkage of prices is coming. With the spread of the unified bidding and procurement subsystem nationwide, it is foreseeable that more and more provinces and cities will start the direct settlement of medical insurance funds with enterprises.
