Overview of industrial development

Industrial scale of Shaanxi province

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, the industrial scale of Shaanxi Province in 2022 reached 19.42 billion yuan, ranking 16th in the country, accounting for 1.5% of the total industrial scale in the country, and the compound growth rate of 2018-2022 was 12.89%.

Industrial scale of prefecture-level cities

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, in 2022, Xi ‘an ranked first in Shaanxi Province in terms of industrial scale, with an industrial scale of 12.021 billion yuan, and a compound growth rate of 11.18% from 2018 to 2022; Xianyang City and Baoji City ranked second and third with 1.899 billion yuan and 1.03 billion yuan, respectively, with a compound growth rate of 25.11% and 7.36% from 2018 to 2022.

1.Number of production erterpprice

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, the number of production enterprises in Shaanxi Province in 2022 was 604, of which 392 could produce class I products, 308 could produce class II, and 37 could produce class III enterprises.

Import and export scale

Overall situation of import and export

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, the export volume of Shaanxi Province in 2022 was 1.068 billion yuan, down 29.39% year-on-year, and the compound growth rate of exports in 2018-2022 was 19.76%. In terms of imports, the value of imports in 2022 was 722 million yuan, down 3.59% year-on-year, and the compound growth rate in 2018-2022 was 1.02%.

Import and export categories

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, the largest proportion of exports in Shaanxi Province in 2022 was medical consumables, with exports of 444 million yuan, accounting for 41.61%, followed by medical equipment, with exports of 261 million yuan, accounting for 24.47%; In terms of imports, IVD instruments accounted for the largest proportion, with imports of 411 million yuan, accounting for 56.88%.

Product registration and filing status

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, there were 3,311 products registered in Shaanxi Province in 2022, of which the number of class I products was 2,273, the number of Class II and Class III products was 949 and 89, respectively, and the number of Class II and Class III products accounts for 31.4%.

Product registration in prefecture-level cities

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, in 2022, Xi ‘an ranked first in the total number of medical device product registration records in Shaanxi Province, the number of product registration records was 2072, accounting for 62.6% of the province, of which the number of class II and III products was 765, and Class II and III accounted for 36.9%; Yan ‘an City and Xianyang City ranked second and third, the number of product registration records were 332 and 326, the province accounted for 10.0% and 9.8%, respectively.

3 . Product category distribution

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, in 2022, the product category with the largest amount of product registration and filing in Shaanxi Province was injection, care and protective equipment, reaching 934 pieces, accounting for 28.21%, of which 881 products were registered or filed for the first time. Followed by physical therapy instruments and dental instruments, 885 and 281, accounting for 26.73% and 8.49%, respectively.

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, the total number of products entering the innovation approval channel in Shaanxi Province from 2018 to 2022 was 6, the total number of products approved for listing was 2, and the total number of products entering the priority approval channel was 1.

Patent situation

Overview of patent situation in Shaanxi Province

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, the total number of patents issued by medical device manufacturers in Shaanxi Province from 2018 to 2022 totaled 4,563, and there were 1,105 in 2022, of which 2021 had the largest number, reaching 1,280. 2, The number of key enterprises patent ranking

According to JOINCHAIN, among medical device manufacturing enterprises, Xi’an Our United Corp. ranked first in the province in terms of patent issuance from 2018 to 2022, with a total of 451 patents; Xi’an China Nuclear Instrument Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Ouzhong Material Technology Co., Ltd. ranked second and third respectively, with 160 and 108 patents issued.

Professional service ability

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, by the end of 2022, there were 63 first-class hospitals in Shaanxi Province, 22 animal testing institutions, 33 clinical trial institutions, 2 medical device testing institutions, 9 third-party online trading platforms and 66 third-party logistics qualification enterprises.

There were 35 first-class hospitals in Xi ‘an, 16 animal testing institutions, 23 clinical testing institutions, 1 medical device testing institution, 8 third-party online trading platforms and 30 third-party logistics qualified enterprises.

Xianyang had 6 first-class hospitals, 5 animal testing institutions, 4 clinical testing institutions and 8 third-party logistics qualified enterprises.

Top Three hospitals

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, as of the end of 2022, there were 63 first-class hospitals in Shaanxi Province, and the top three prefecture-level cities in the number of first-class hospitals are Xi ‘an (35), Xianyang City (6) and Baoji City (5).

Animal testing institutions

According to JOINCHAIN statistics, as of the end of 2022, there were 22 enterprises or institutions qualified to carry out animal testing in Shaanxi Province, including 6 enterprises or institutions qualified for animal testing production.
