National Healthcare Security Administration: IVD reagent to determine the unified “identity ID code”

2023-02-24

Just now (February 23), the National Healthcare Security Administration issued the Notice of the Office of the National Healthcare Security Administration on Printing and distributing the Coding Rules and methods of medical insurance in vitro diagnostic reagents (hereinafter referred to as the “Notice”).

In order to accelerate the development of a unified coding standard for medical insurance information business and form a national “common language”, according to the requirements of the Notice of the National Healthcare Security Administration on Issuing Guidelines for the Standardization of Medical insurance (Medical insurance Issue No. 39 [2019]), the coding rules and methods for medical insurance in-vitro diagnostic reagents has be formulated and earnestly implemented. And supervise local enterprises to maintain related product information.

The maintenance module of ” Healthcare Security in Vitro Diagnostic Reagents” has been set up in the “Dynamic Maintenance of Healthcare Security Information Business Coding Standard” window of the portal website of the National Healthcare Security Administration, which has been opened for maintenance to enterprises related to the production and operation of in vitro diagnostic reagents.

Previously, the National Healthcare Administration said that the move is to speed up the promotion of unified medical insurance information business coding standards, forming a national “common language.”

According to the official website of the National Medical Insurance Administration, the medical security coding standard will be unified as the common language for medical insurance information exchange in the new era according to the general requirements of “unified classification, unified coding, unified maintenance, unified release and unified management”.

With the completion of the national unified medical insurance information platform, the unified coding of national medical consumables is also accelerating in every province. Previously, all over the country have issued relevant notices, requiring enterprises to do a good job of consumable code maintenance work.

No code, no network connection! Obviously, the era of “one game” of national consumables with price linkage has really come. The procurement of medical consumables has been linked to the consumables code, so it will be difficult to see the non-coding consumables in the future market.
