Insight into the Chinese orthopedic surgical robot market in the first three quarters of 2024

(1) Brand pattern
In the first three quarters of 2024, Tinavi, Stryke, Medtronic, and Jianjia consistently ranked among the top four in the domestic orthopedic surgical robot market in terms of market share. The market concentration of the top four brands (CR4) decreased from 88.25% in the first three quarters of 2023 to 73.52%, a decrease of about 15%.In terms of scope of application, in the domestic market in the first three quarters of 2024, orthopedic surgical robots suitable for joint surgery were the most widely used, followed by spinal surgery robots, and the procurement proportion has increased compared with the same period last year.

In the first three quarters of 2024, Tinavi, Stryke, and Jianjia maintained their top three market shares in the domestic orthopedic surgical robot market, while Yuanhua Robotics, Perception, and AI Technologies ranked fourth. Among them, CR4 reached 84.75%, a decrease of nearly 15% year-on-year.

② Spinal surgery robot
In the first three quarters of 2024, Tinavi and Medtronic ranked the top two in the domestic spine surgery robot market, and Tuodao Medical and Resilienc ranked among the top four. Among them, CR4 reached 93.56%, a decrease of nearly 6%.
③ Trauma orthopedic surgical robot
In the first three quarters of 2024, Tianzhihang still held a dominant position in the domestic spinal surgery robot market, with a market share of 97.30%, an increase of over 7% compared to the same period last year.

In the first three quarters of 2024, domestic orthopaedic surgical robots were still mainly distributed in third-level hospitals, and the proportion of orthopaedic surgical robots purchased by second-level, first-level and other ungraded hospitals has increased.
