Hainan:Transformation from Patients Waiting for Drugs and Equipment to Drugs and Equipment Waiting for Patients

On the 4th of this month, the Hainan government held a press conference to introduce that the Hainan Drug Administration and other relevant departments jointly issues and implements the Measures to Further Optimize Regulatory Services and Support the High-quality Development of the International Medical Tourism Leading Area of Boao Lecheng, Hainan, which simplifies the approval process of clinically urgently needed imported drugs and medical devices and realizes the transformation of the Lecheng Leading Area from “patients waiting for drug and equipment” to “drug and equipment waiting for patients.”

At present, the Leading Area has 20 medical institutions and more than 10 projects are under construction or preparation. In addition, Lecheng Leading Area has established cooperative relations with the top 30 pharmaceutical machinery enterprises in the world, becoming one of the main channels for international innovative pharmaceutical machinery to enter China.
