1. Provincial purchasing situation

In 2022, a total of 32 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) participated in the volume procurement of high-value medical consumables. 2. Distribution of purchased varieties

In 2022, the procurement of high-value medical consumables in China involves 11 categories and 24 varieties. Among them, the procurement of liver function biochemical testing reagents covers 23 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government), with the widest coverage of provinces among all low-value consumables. The number of provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) covered by intravenous indwelling needle procurement was 9, ranking second.

3.Price reduction of centralized purchase

A total of 12 national, inter-provincial alliance and individual provincial procurement projects with volume announced average reductions. Among them, the average reduction of national orthopedic spine procurement volume reached 84%. Among the inter-provincial alliance procurement items, the average reduction of orthopedic trauma procurement items in 19 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central government) alliance was the largest, up to 83%. The average decrease of hemodialysis purchases in Liaoning and Heilongjiang provinces was the lowest, only 26 percent. Among the individually procured items announced at the provincial level, Jiangsu Province had the highest average reduction of 79% in the procurement of commonly used endoscopic stapler, while Fujian Province had the lowest average reduction of 46% in the procurement of spring rings.
