Recently, the NMPA approved the innovative product registration application of “X-ray Computer Tomography Equipment” produced by Siemens Medical Co., LTD., the registration certificate number is “National Instrument Registration 20233060455”. This is also the 232nd innovative medical device product approved by the NMPA, no official announcement has yet been made as to which Siemens CT innovation, the NMPA said that it will strengthen the supervision of the product after the market to protect the safety of patients.

According to NMPA’s official website, the product uses China’s first photon counting detector innovation technology, which can calculate the number of incident X-ray photons and measure the energy level of the photons. Compared with conventional energy integration detector CT, the product has higher spatial resolution and can directly obtain energy spectrum images, which can further meet the needs of clinical imaging diagnosis. According to another introduction, the product is composed of scanning frame, high voltage generator, X-ray bulb and X-ray tube assembly, beam limiter, photon counting detector, power distribution unit, patient stent, laser, console, image processing software, control host, reconstruction workstation, for routine CT examination, support for coronary CT angiography and energy spectrum examination.
